NIO's Power Up Plan officially completes 447km Wudang Line
A few days ago, NIO announced the completion of the Wudang Mountain Line in Northwest Hubei of Power Up. The whole route is about 447km, with 4 swapping stations and 4 supercharging stations. The route starts from Wuhan and ends in Shiyan, the capital of Chedu, in the west, passing through Anlu, Suizhou and Xiangyang. According to NIO’s official statement, the EV maker has successively opened 52 travel routes including the 318 Sichuan-Tibet Line, providing users with a more convenient travel experience.

Volkswagen ID.7 winter test spy photos revealed in China!
Recently, spy photos of Volkswagen’s ID.7 during winter testing were released online. The EV is regarded as the electric successor to VW’s Passat. According to previous reports, the new car is expected to debut in China in the second half of 2023 and will be jointly introduced by FAW-Volkswagen and SAIC-Volkswagen. Volkswagen will also launch Touring and GTX high-performance versions of the ID.7.
ZEEKR 009 begins production in China

On January 9th, just over six months after teasing first images of its second EV model, ZEEKR has officially begun production of the 009 MPV. The premium MVP offers two models priced at 499,000 RMB and 588,000 RMB. Deliveries are expected to begin in January 2023. ZEEKR’s MPV adopts a spacious six-seat layout, and is equipped with first-class aviation seats covered with luxurious NAPPA full-grain top-layer leather as standard.
NIO Capital to invest in high end luxury EV start-up

On January 9, NIO Capital will invest tens of millions of dollars in electric vehicle startups. The NIO-backed startup, called Zhixing, which means reach for the stars, will focus on the off-road market, and its first vehicle will be an ultra-high-end SUV priced at a rumored 1 million RMB. Zhixing will carry out special research and development under the authorization of NIO's technology platform. The luxury vehicle will be built on the NIO NT 3.0 platform and supports two modes of 800V ultra-fast charging and battery replacement. Zhixing's first vehicle is expected to launch in 2025 and will be available in China and overseas markets simultaneously.
UK manufacturers say rising energy costs could trigger job cuts
