China's passenger car sales rise in August 2023

According to recent data released by the China Passenger Car Association, in August 2023, China's passenger car retail sales reached 1.92 million units, a year-on-year increase of 2.5% and a month-on-month increase of 8.6%. Cumulative sales for the year totaled 13.22 million units, up 2.0% year-on-year. In August, the domestic retail penetration rate for new energy vehicles reached 37.3%, a significant rise from the 28.4% recorded in the same period last year, marking an increase of 9 percentage points.
Apollo Smart Mobility Group terminates deal to acquire WM
