NIO’s sales plummeted by 35.8%, a 1/4 of Li Auto’s figures
NIO recently announced that it delivered 6,658 new cars in April, reflecting a significant decline of 35.8% compared to the previous month. This marks the second consecutive month of sales decline for the Chinese EV maker since February this year. Despite NIO's challenges, its main competitor, Li Auto, demonstrated continued strength, delivering 25,681 vehicles in April, representing a month-on-month increase of 23.3%.
Tesla's global supercharger stations exceed 5,000
Just a few days ago, Tesla’s official account announced that the company now boasts over 5,000 supercharging stations worldwide, with the total number of supercharging piles surpassing 45,000. Impressively, this figure includes more than 1,600 supercharging stations located in mainland China alone. Prior to this announcement, Tesla also revealed the opening of pilot charging stations in mainland China, featuring 10 supercharging stations and 120 destination charging stations.
NIO's May 1st battery swap hits new highs

Just a few days ago, NIO launched a free battery swap policy during the May Day holiday, which led to record-high battery swap numbers. In a single day, the number of battery swaps reached an all-time high of 68,748, including 23,460 free high-speed swaps (in China). As per official reports, NIO plans to add 1,000 battery swapping stations this year, bringing the total number of swapping stations to over 2,300, and making worry-free long-distance travel a reality for its customers.

Neta deliveres 11,080 vehicles in April
Neta recently announced that it delivered 11,080 vehicles in April, bringing the cumulative delivery to 285,011. The company is expected to reach the milestone of 300,000 deliveries soon. As for the specific models, the Neta V series saw 4,727 units delivered, followed by the Neta U series with 3,821 units, the Neta S with 2,237 units, and the Neta GT with 295 units. The sales figures for all these models have been on an upward trend.

Just a few days ago, ZEEKR released its delivery data for April, revealing a remarkable year-on-year increase of 279.1% with 8,101 new cars delivered, and a month-on-month increase of 21.6%. The cumulative delivery volume for the brand has now reached 101,283 units. ZEEKR currently offers three models for sale: the ZEEKR 001, ZEEKR 009, and ZEEKR X. The ZEEKR 001 has an average order value of 336,000 RMB, while the ZEEKR 009 has an average order value of 527,000 RMB.
XPeng delivered 7,079 new cars in April

XPeng recently announced its latest delivery data, with 7,079 new cars delivered in April. The production capacity of P7i has been significantly increased, which will accelerate the delivery process. Furthermore, XPeng G9 has obtained a license for passenger-carrying tests on Guangzhou's third-class roads, and it is expected to begin autonomous driving passenger-carrying tests in Huangpu District, Guangzhou in the second half of the year.

Japan to provide $1.8 bill in subsidies battery and chip-related projects
Recently, the Japanese government announced plans to provide up to US$1.8 billion in subsidies for a range of battery and chip-related projects aimed at strengthening supply chain security. Under this plan, eight proposals related to power batteries will receive subsidies of up to 1.38 billion U.S. dollars, while two semiconductor-related projects will receive subsidies of up to 56.4 billion yen.
